Begin with the purest, highest quality honey you can find before you begin to make your moisturizing treatment. Given the natural regenerative properties, the higher the quality of your honey, the better the guarantee of great results.

    • 2

Wash your face with a mild cleanser, gently rubbing it into your damp skin in circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat your face dry with a hand towel.

    • 3

Apply some honey onto your face, using circular motions. Begin at your hairline, around your ears, and all the way down under your chin. Leave it on for five to 10 minutes to nourish and moisturize your skin.

    • 4

Rinse off the honey from your face with lukewarm water, and then gently pat your skin dry. You will immediately feel a refreshing, new softness in the texture of your skin.

    • 5

For sensitive skin, gently warm up the honey in a double boiler over low heat and then repeat the steps above. Test the temperature on the inner skin of your elbow, until it attains a comfortable temperature.

Combining Honey With Other Natural Ingredients

    • 6

Mix 2 tbsp. of orange juice into 1 cup of honey for a facial mask that will not only moisturize, but also firm and tone your skin.

    • 7

Puree one cored and peeled apple with 1 tbsp. of honey in a blender and smooth it onto your face and neck. Leave it on for five to 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. If you prefer not to use a blender, grate the apple and then mix it thoroughly with the honey.

Mash a very ripe banana and blend in a tablespoon of honey. Apply this over your face and neck, leaving it on for five to 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

    • 9

Stir ¼ cup raw honey into ½ cup almond oil and then smooth it on for a healing, moisturizing treatment. Gently wipe of with a wet washcloth after 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

    • 10

Cook a cup of oatmeal and combine it with ¼ cup honey. Apply it to your face and neck and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.

Tips & Warnings

  • Raw honey is recommended, but high quality, regular prepared honey will also do.

  • Never bring your honey to a boil, as this would destroy some of its nourishing compounds. Never use honey that has been over heated as it may burn your skin, destroying skin cells.

  • Don't scrub your face vigorously when you wash or rinse your face. This only irritates your skin, and will speed up its loss of elasticity.
