Burn Protected Music to CD
With the rise of digital music, the music industry has imposed stronger protection rights to its content. Apple iTunes has become one of the best programs for creating a mixed CD that contains different protected music. Through the use of the free iTunes software and a computer that contains a CD/DVD drive, you can burn protected music to a CD and create a customized disc full of your favorite tracks.

Open iTunes (see Resource below to first download iTunes if needed). Go to "File" and select "New Playlist." Create a name for your new playlist. This will also be the name of your CD.

Go through your iTunes music library and select the songs that you'd like to burn to your CD. Right-click on each song you select and add it to your new playlist.

Click the name of your new playlist. Double check that all of the songs you'd like on your CD are listed under that playlist. Adjust the order of the tracks to your preference.

Click the "Burn Disc" button located on the bottom right corner of iTunes. Confirm that you want to burn this playlist, then insert a blank CD into your CD/DVD drive when prompted.

Tips & Warnings
Check how much capacity is available on your blank CD. Be aware of how many songs you try to burn--make sure it doesn't go over the space available on your CD.
If you burn your music to CD at a slower rate, your CD is likely to be more accurate with less possibilities for skips.
