Although protected music may not be burned from different music computer programs, by adding play-lists to one burnable computer program, you can make a mix CD of protected music. ITunes is an ideal program to use because it is available for burning music, as well as buying the latest and hard-to-find music selections. You just need a CD burner on your computer.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Download iTunes to your computer (see Resources below), or open the iTunes program if it is already available on your hard drive.

  2. Step 2

Choose "File," "New Playlist" and create a name of the playlist you'd like to burn.

  3. Step 3

Select the songs you'd like to add to this playlist by right-clicking on each song (from single or multiple playlists) and choosing the "Add to Playlist" option.

  4. Step 4

Choose the playlist name from "Add to Playlist." Continue this step until you've gotten the allotted amount of songs that will fit on one blank CD.

  5. Step 5

Click on the retitled playlist (from Step 1) under "Playlists."

  6. Step 6

Choose the "Burn Disc" option from the bottom, right-hand side.
