Instructions

    • 1

Fill a pan with a few inches of water. Set it on the stove over medium heat. Bring to a slight boil and reduce heat to a simmer.

    • 2

Place the beeswax, almond extract and peppermint extract in the ramekin or similar container and place it in the pan of water. Alternatively, you can use a double boiler; fill the bottom of the boiler with water and place the ingredients in the top pan of the boiler.

    • 3

Stir the ingredients as the water simmers, until the wax has melted completely. Make sure all of the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

    • 4

Pour in one teaspoon of Vitamin E oil, or break a Vitamin E capsule and pour the contents into the ingredients. The Vitamin E acts as a preservative and also improves the health of your skin. Mix all of the ingredients well.

    • 5

Pour the balm into your jar or container and seal the lid tightly. Place into the refrigerator and allow to harden completely.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a chocolate-mint variation, add 1 tbsp. of cocoa butter and increase the peppermint oil by 2 to 3 drops.
