Go to the Dell Support Page listed in the resource section. This section gives you three options. You can chat with a tech online, e-mail a tech, or call a tech.

Write down the Express Service Code.

Write down the the Certificate of Authenticity number just in case. This code makes sure that this is a genuine Dell product and that you are the owner under the warranty.

Dial the appropriate number.1. 1-800-624-9896 for those with the basic and mid-level systems ($200-$1200 range).2. 1-800-232-8544 for those withe the XPS system (upper range).3. If you purchased the Dell on Call service then you would dial, 1-866-955-2251. If you did not purchase this service there is a charge.

Follow the phone prompts as appropriate. XPS users will not normally have a wait time, and their call will be answered in the USA.

Unless you have a high end computer, you will get a tech in India.
Regardless of how you contact Dell, at some point they will have access and control of your computer so they can see the problem. This is really for the newer models.
