How to Put Backgrounds on MySpace
MySpace is one of the top social networking websites and is used by millions of people every day. It is a place where you can show the world “who you really are” or “who you want them to think you are”. The only thing is the default MySpace layout is plain and extremely ordinary. The background is colorless and dull. You can add so much to your MySpace page by changing the background of it. The following steps will teach you how to put backgrounds on MySpace.

Open your MySpace account. Go to the link provided below (Resources) to sign in to your MySpace account. Sign in to your account. This opens up your main account page.

Make a decision on what type of background you want. The options are literally endless and only bound by your imagination (and available selections) when it comes to MySpace backgrounds. If you do not have any specific thing in mind, you can look at others profiles for ideas or go with the first thing that comes to mind. The only limits you have are the ones banned from MySpace, so stay clear of any of those (check MySpace website for details).

Find MySpace backgrounds. Open another webpage separate from your MySpace account page. Do a search for “MySpace backgrounds”. You will be presented with an abundance of websites offering MySpace backgrounds. Select several to check out. Go to each site to view the available backgrounds they have and select the one you prefer.

Copy the code for your MySpace background. Once you have found a background you like, copy the HTML code to your clipboard. The background code should be highlighted already, but if it is not; highlight it and copy it.

Place the background on your MySpace page. Go to the webpage of your MySpace account that you opened before. Select the [Edit Profile] link available or access it from the dropdown arrow under “Profile”. Paste the copied background HTML code on your profile on the “About Me” section. It is a good idea to have it either at the very top or bottom of the section, so it will be easy to locate later on.

Preview your MySpace background to be sure it looks all right. Click on the “Preview Profile” button to see the new background. If you are satisfied with it, be sure to click on the “Save All Changes” button. Click on the “View My Profile” link at the top right of the page to see your new MySpace background.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have a MySpace account, you can easily set one up by clicking on the “Sign Up!” tab on the MySpace homepage and filling in the information required.
If you want to change your MySpace background in the future, make sure you remove all of the previous HTML code for the background presently used.
