How to Plan a Romantic Summer Date

Creativity and improvisation goes a long way when it comes to planning summer dates. No date should be stuffed inside when it's so beautiful during this season. Seriously impress your date with some of these easily executable ideas.

1. Go to an outdoor restaurant during the evening. Many restaurants offer patio dining for their customers. Enjoy dinner with your date outside to enjoy the fresh air and each other's company.

2. Enjoy lunch or dinner beachside. There is nothing like cooling off a hot day next to the beach. Hold hands walking in the sand. Seafood is a romantic addition to a beach-side date. Begin with a delicious shrimp cocktail and make the main course your date's favorite fish. Finish off dinner with a great glass of wine. As cheesy as it sounds, lay in the sand watching the moonlight bounce off of the waves. It is very romantic and may even lead to a little midnight movement between the two of you.

3. Get a beachside hotel room. If you and your date are at this point in your relationship (or not, your preference), try step 2 while staying the night at a beachside hotel. Watch the setting sun bounce off of the waters or sit on the patio enjoying the breeze and each other's company. This is summer romance at your fingertips and from the privacy of your own little place. It may be pricey but if your date is worth it, go for it.

4. Find a deserted pool for a candlelight dinner poolside. During the weeknights right before closing, pools are usually empty. Take an hour before closing to set up a simple dinner, even take-out, and enjoy it by the pool. This idea works even better if you have access to a private pool or Jacuzzi.

5. Take a walk on the strip. There's nothing better than shopping and people watching on a strip or boadwalk. Don't have a strip you say--sure you do. Find a place where there is food, shopping, people and fun all in one place and you've got yourself a strip. Seems like more fun than romance, but when all of the people begin to dwindle and the only things left are you, your date, and the bright lights of the city, there's sure to be a spark.

6. Create an old-fashioned picnic. A checkerboard blanket, picnic basket, and your favorite sandwich and drink combination are sure to add some old-fashioned romance to your afternoon. Choose a park where there aren't many kids, dogs or bugs for more privacy.

7. Spend some quality time together talking and communicating. No date is special or romantic without that connection. Heat things up with kisses, sensual hugs and maybe a little something special before the night is over.
