How to Make a Rejuvenating Eye Treatment
Eye treatments are not just another form of pampering yourself. In addition to being unattractive, red, puffy eyes are can cause problems with vision and the ability to concentrate. Taking 15 to 20 minutes out of your busy schedule to care for and rejuvenate your eyes will allow you to function better and feel refreshed throughout the rest of the day. It won't hurt that you'll look better, too.

1
Refrigerate the cucumber for at least one hour prior to use. You want to make sure that the cucumber is nicely chilled in order to get the most benefit from the treatment.
-
2
Cut two slices that are roughly equal in size from the cucumber. Make sure that each size is large enough to cover your entire eye area.
-
3
Wet the washcloth with clean, cold water. Wring out any excess moisture from the cloth, but make sure the cloth is still damp. The added moisture from the water will help to hydrate the eye area.
-
4
Place a chilled cucumber slice over each eye, and then cover the upper part of your face with the cool, damp washcloth. It will be easier to keep the cucumber slices and washcloth in place if you are laying down or sitting back in a reclining position.
-
5
Leave the cucumber slices and washcloth in place for at least 15 minutes. This would be a good time to listen to some soothing music or a book on tape.
-
6
Remove the cucumber slices and washcloth. Rinse your eyes thoroughly with cool water.
