How to Cast a Summer Love Spell

The peak summer months (July and August) are ruled by Cancer and Leo, respectively. • Freshly picked flower symbolic of love (roses, marigolds)
• Piece of paper and writing instrument
• Green candle
• Pink candle
• Crystals of your choice
• Stones
• Potted plants (if indoors)
• Water fountains (if indoors)
• Incense of your choice

How to Cast a Summer Love Spell

1. Go out to your yard or to a nearby park and pick relaxing herbs such as lavender and thyme. Lay them out in the sun for a few days to dry.

2. After those herbs are dry, go back to your yard or the park and pick flowers that symbolize love to you. A good choice is roses and marigolds.

3. Wait for the waxing moon (a time when the moon is growing toward full) to cast your spell.

4. Write your “love wish” on a piece of paper.

5. Choose an isolated place in a park or in your yard, preferably with trees, flowers, and a flowing stream around you. Bring with you your candles, dried herbs, flowers, crystals, and anything else you need to enhance your spell. If you live in the city and cannot find such a place, create one inside your home. Sit in the middle of your living room floor and surround yourself with potted plants and flowing indoor water fountains.

6. Sit down, facing south, in your chosen spot at dawn or early morning.

7. Prepare a natural alter in front of you on the ground. Decorate this space with your special flowers, crystals, and stones. Gently tear petals off of pink roses and scatter them around your space.

8. Set a green and a pink candle in the middle of your space. Light the candles. As you do so, meditate on your perfect love coming to you, or your current relationship deepening.

9. Set a stick of incense in front of the candles and light it.

10. Breathe in the scent of the incense for a few minutes, as you visualize your wish coming true.

11. Still facing south, hold the paper with your written wish to your chest. Recite your wish aloud, three times, looking toward the sky.

12. Hold your paper over the candle until it catches fire. Lay the burning paper down on a large, green leaf, watching it burn to ashes.

13. When it cools, scatter the ashes into the flowing stream or, if inside, into a water fountain, sending your love spell on its way to do its magical duty.
