Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Sit or stand in a comfortable position with the back upright. Hold the ukulele near the center of the body with the right arm. The back of the ukulele body should be up against the abdomen with the strings facing away from the musician’s body.
Step2
Use the left hand to hold the neck of the ukulele. Place the neck between the left thumb and index finger near the string spacer on the ukulele.
Step3
Move the index finger over to the third bar between the second and third frets. Hold down the “E” string or second from the bottom with the tip of the left index finger between the second and third frets. Also hold down the “A” or bottom string with the left index finger. Hold both strings down on the third bar without touching the second and third frets.
Step4
With the left middle finger, hold down the “C” string that is second from the top on the fourth bar between the third and fourth fret. Keep the left middle finger between the frets without touching them or any other strings.
Step5
Hold down all of the assigned strings and the left thumb behind the ukulele neck firmly. With the right hand, gently strum over all of the ukulele strings near the center of the ukulele body to hear the Am7 chord.
