Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Make a pattern. When determining the size of your pillow, look around your home for a circular object that you could trace, such as a dinner plate or serving tray. Trace the circle on to a piece of cardboard.

  2. Step 2

Cut fabric. Measure, trace and cut two pieces of fabric, allowing an extra 3/4 inch for a seam.

  3. Step 3

Pin and sew. Place the fabric pieces with right sides together and pin for security. Sew around the pillow with a 3/4 inch seam. Leave an opening to allow you to stuff in the pillow form or filling.

  4. Step 4

Stuff. Turn the pillow right sides out and stuff it with either a pillow form or polyfill. Hand stitch the gap closed.

  5. Step 5

Place button. If desired, place a button in the center of the round pillow. Do this by hand stitching it with an upholstery needle.
