How to Burn Karaoke Songs

You can burn your own karaoke CDs and take them with you to karaoke.

If you're a budding singer, or just like to be in the spotlight, karaoke is a good way to quench your thirst for stardom. If the karaoke DJs in your area don't have the song you want to sing on their CDs, you can burn your own karaoke CDs, take them with you to karaoke and sing your own selection.

Things You'll Need

• Disk drive that writes CDs
• iTunes account
• Blank CDs

Instructions

1. Search iTunes for the songs you want, and scroll through to see if the karaoke version of it pops up. Otherwise, search iTunes for karaoke songs in general, and scroll through the songs available.

2. Purchase the karaoke songs you want; they will download onto your computer.

3. Go to your iTunes account and select the music you wish to burn onto a CD.

4. Put a blank CD in the CD drive.

5. Select "File" in the left-hand corner, then select "Burn CD."

6. Install software that allows you to burn the song and the lyrics (see Resources) if you'd like to have both on the CD.

7. Purchase a drive that allows you to burn CD+Gs or DVDs if your computer didn't come with one.

8. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided by the software.

Tips & Warnings

• If you don't wish to purchase new software or a new drive, you can print the lyrics and read them as you sing the song (see Resources).
