How to Put Up a Skybouncer Trampoline With Net

At the first hint of spring, the kids are out of the house and ready to terrorize your backyard. What better way to burn off all their energy than to reach for the sky on a trampoline? We got our kids a trampoline a few years ago and they love it. Every fall we take it down and the kids get sad. But come spring time, setup is a breeze. Here’s how.

Instructions

    • 1

Install the mat. Start with the north side. Attach one spring to the mat ring, then to the frame slot. Do the same for the south side, then east, and finally west. Now fill in each of the four quadrants with springs. Remember to count the mat rings and frame slots so they match up.

Install the safety pad. For now, just lay it on the springs. You’ll attach it later.

    • 3

Attach the top rings of the net to the bungee cords on the net support posts. Then do the same with the rings on the middle of the net.

    • 4

Start sewing. Tie one end of the rope to a mat ring. Loop your rope through the bottom of the net, down into the center of a mat ring, up the outside of the ring, and into the bottom of the net above the next mat ring. Continue until you’ve gone full circle around the net, then tie off the end of the rope.

Secure the safety pad by attaching the outer buckles to the trampoline frame and the inner buckles to the nearest mat ring. Now jump and have fun.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can do it yourself, but it’s much easier and faster with help. Get one of the kids to help you out.

  • Always follow all of the manufacturer’s safety and maintenance guidelines. Even with a net, trampolines can be dangerous if not used properly.
