Bra straps serve a great purpose. They hold the bra up where it’s supposed to be and they can be adjusted to make sure that the bra feels comfortable on the person wearing it. But most bra straps look boring. Instead of having blah and boring bra straps, decorate them a bit. Here are some very simple ways to turn your bra straps from just functional to functional and fabulous.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Attach some flat backed rhinestones to your bra straps. Lay the straps out as flat as possible and tape them down to the surface you are working on. Take a ruler and a pencil and make the spacing for as many rhinestones as you want on the straps. Next, use fabric glue and attach the rhinestones where you put the marks. Give them time to dry into place before you move them.

  2. Step 2

Add on some small satin fabric flowers for an elegant touch. Instead of applying them all over the bra straps, consider putting only one or two on the front of each strap. You can also attach these with fabric glue.

  3. Step 3

Sew some very small patches onto the front of your bra straps. Patches come in many designs and can be found in craft stores and online. To apply the patches simply stitch to sew them on.

  4. Step 4

Sew some metallic thread into the bra straps. Pick up some metallic thread and using your sewing machine, start from the middle of one end of the bra strap and work your way to the other and make a single stitching of metallic thread. It may seem simple, but a little metallic thread can go a long way and it will pick up the light beautifully when the light shines on it.

  5. Step 5

Tie on some gorgeous satin or velvet ribbons onto the front end of your bra straps. You can color coordinate the ribbon to the outfit that you’re wearing. Make sure that when you tie the ribbons on you don't do it so tightly that the bra strap looks squished together by the ribbon.
