Many people with a solid body have thought about becoming a model. You have worked hard to sculpt your muscles and think it’s time to put your hard work to use. Becoming an underwear model is a perfect way to use your physical attributes to make a living and build a portfolio.

1. Maintain a serious workout regimen. It is important for a professional underwear model to have a trim waistline and a tight muscular system. For men this means defined abs, pecs and legs. While for women it means having a slim physique. Many professionals work out up five days a week to keep their look.

2. Have snapshots of yourself taken in various poses like an underwear model would. Make sure you take time to get high quality photos. This means using high speed film or a digital camera with a large number of pixels, as well as applying proper lighting to yourself. The goal is to show how good you would be as a model.

3. Make several copies of your best pictures and send a modeling agency a package that includes the shots, a resume and contact information. An agent will have contacts within the industry that will help you get work.

4. Consider sending your package directly to underwear manufacturers if you cannot secure representation from an agent. Many companies have their own art departments and do the hiring of models themselves. Find out who is in charge of hiring models and send your portfolio to these people so you do not lose out on an opportunity.

5. Follow up with underwear companies and agents if you have not head back in three months.
