How to Draw The Marios Bros.
-
1
Sketch in the bodies of both Mario Bros, using light strokes. Make one a little plumper, and rounder than the other one. This will be Mario. Notice each Mario brother body is pear-shaped, with straight lines for the legs and flattened ovals for the boots.
-
2
Draw the outline of a figure 8 on top of Mario's body to depict his head, and an inverted tear drop on top of the other body, for Luigi's face. Each head is about half the size of the entire body, and almost as large as the upper body.

3
Add eyes to the center of each face, starting with a basic oval, shape. The eyes on the brothers are set apart by the width of one eye. Draw in a nose, which overlaps the bottom corner of each eye, with a simple circle that has a flattened top and bottom.
-
4
Draw in the mustache right under the nose. It is created by drawing one shallow curve for the top, and then a more pronounced curve for the bottom. Each curve connects at the end in a point.
-
5
Draw the hat on each brother. Start with a "c" shape tilted on its side that looks like it has been pinched together slightly on each side for the top of the hat. This shape is drawn to connect with the side of the head above the ears. Inside this shape, just draw another flatter orange wedge shape titled on its side, for the brim.
-
6
Add very simple arms, by forming straight lines from the shoulders for the outside of the arm, and a simple vertical line to define the inside of the arm. Then sketch in each overall. Just draw a strap following the contour of the shoulders on each side, and add a button inside the strap. You can define the sides of the overalls with a flat half-oval shape on either side of the Bros.

Add details like hands and define the boots.
