It is possible to refurbish furniture without having to completely refinish it. Refurbishing products like Miracle Finish allow you to refurbish furniture without stripping and sanding away the previous finish. These types of refurbishing products are made to bond over existing lacquer or varnish to give furniture a fresh, new look without all of the hassle.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Purchase the refurbishing kit of your choice as well as all of the supplies needed to complete the project. The finish chosen must closely match each piece's original finish. Miracle Finish products are always reliable, so check out their website by clicking on the link in the Resources section below.

  2. Step 2

Lay out all of your supplies, place the furniture piece on the drop cloth and don the necessary safety gear.

  3. Step 3

Test an inconspicuous area of the furniture piece with the refurbishing finish. Let it dry thoroughly before moving on to the next step. Make sure that the finish color chosen is correct and that the product bonds appropriately to the furniture.
