Wearing a sexy costume as a prelude to sex is a great way to spice up your relationship and your sex life. Wearing a costume in the bedroom can be a bit intimidating. Don't be afraid to try wearing a costume! There are ways of dressing up that will leave you feeling at ease. Think of it as Halloween with a more enticing and adult motive. Here's how to choose the perfect sex costume for you and your partner!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Ask your partner what his sexual fantasy is, and think about what sexual fantasy you are comfortable fulfilling. Some popular costumes to wear in the bedroom are maid costumes and nurse outfits. Talk about which costumes your partner would like to see you in. Keep the conversation open until you figure out one that works for both of you.

  2. Step 2

Be open-minded. Some people automatically shut down every idea that a partner gives because of nerves. This is your partner, a person that you’re supposed to feel comfortable around. Your lover should never judge you, and you want to go out of your way to make your lover feel as accepted as possible. Remember that this outfit is supposed to help spice up your sex life. Be generous is accepting what you feel alright with, but never do anything that makes you uncomfortable.

  3. Step 3

Pick out a costume that you would feel comfortable wearing. You can wear a costume that is designed to enhance and flatter any figure. It’s just a matter of taking the time to find it. You’re the one that is going to have to wear the costume. You will feel sexier in costume--and ultimately be a better lover--if you take the time to find something that makes you feel both comfortable and beautiful.

  4. Step 4

Look for a costume that's not too difficult to get on (or off), and carefully take a look at how to put it on before you even buy it. A corset that laces up the back, although gorgeous, will take awhile to get on and to get off. Costumes with a lot of straps or buckles will also take awhile to get on or off. Look for basic costumes unless teasing is something that you want to take your time with!

  5. Step 5

Try on all costumes before purchase. Due to the sexy nature of these costumes, many stores may have special policies about trying on the costumes. Make sure you are wearing underwear when you go to try on the stores, and don't be surprised if you are asked such frank questions before being allowed to try on the merchandise. Stores look out for the general safety of their customers and the protection of their merchandise!

  6. Step 6

Choose the costume that makes you feel the most comfortable and the most beautiful. Your partner will be turned on by your ease and beauty even if it is not the sexiest costume in the entire store.

  7. Step 7

Wear high heels with the costume. The heels are an important part of the costume. Plus, the heels have a tendency to make a woman’s body look leaner and more streamlined. Another plus is that many women just feel sexier in high heels. Strut your stuff in all your high heeled glory!

  8. Step 8

Think about accessories as part of the costume. I don’t mean just heels. I mean stockings or even glasses. While the costume is spicy enough, there’s always a way to make it a bit spicier.

Tips & Warnings
  • Instead of picking out a costume online, pick it out in the store. You can see the costume up close, feel the fabric, examine how to get it on and off and see all the details of the costume up close and personal.
  • Avoid getting a costume that has sharp adornments on it. In the heat of the moment you can easily hurt your partner or even yourself.
