Fungal infections anywhere on your feet can be pure trouble. Fungal infections may spread if or become worse if left untreated for long periods of time. Read on to learn how to cure fungal infections on the heels.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Consider using anti-fungal foot cream. When fungal infections become present on your feet, using anti-fungal creams on your feet are a great start. These creams can be found in almost every drug store and can help mild cases of fungal infections on your heels. It is recommended that you ask your doctor before using some over the counter products especially if you are taking medications that may interfere with the foot cream.
Step2
Consider using medicated foot powder. Using medicated foot powder on your heels is another option in caring for fungal infections of the heels especially if you keep your feet in shoes all day. These foot powders can be found in drug stores and grocery stores and should only be used on mild fungal issues with your heels. It is recommended that you ask your doctor before using some over the counter products especially if you have a medical condition called pemphigus (an autoimmune disorder of the skin and mucus membranes).
Step3
Talk to your doctor about prescription drug options. If no over-the-counter drugs work for you then you should ask your doctor about prescription strength drugs that can help with fungal infections of the heels. Your doctor can make you aware of all prescription treatment options that are available to treat you. It is recommended that you take any drug your doctor gives as recommended by your pharmacist.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always keep your feet dry and never go bare footed in public places because this can increase your chances of getting a fungal infection on your heels and other parts of your feet including between your toes.
