Whether you are looking for a home or trying to sell one; it can be a grueling undertaking. Buying and/or selling a home can be stressful enough, especially if you are trying to tackle this alone. Best advice would be to enlist the services of a Real Estate Agent. So where does one go to find one? This article will give you steps to show you how.

    How to Find a Real Estate Agent

  1. Step 1
     

    Start looking on the Internet for Real Estate Agents in your area. You may want to contact a few and ask about their services and fees. Many will offer to set up an appointment for you to meet them at their office or your place of residence. This is the simplest way to find an agent.

  2. Step 2
     

    Drive around the neighbor that you are considering purchasing, or your own neighborhood if you are considering selling and look for open houses. The majority of the time, there is always an agent lurking around for you to speak to about your needs. Also look for Real Estate signs in the yards. There is always contact information of the Real Estate Agent who listed the property,

    Peruse your local newspaper. The Real Estate section not only has homes for sale or rent. But there are many advertisements offering Real Estate services.

  4. Step 4
     

    Look through your local phone book and find advertising's in the yellow pages for agents in your area. All those ads will include some form of contact information. I.E.; telephone numbers, websites, physical and email addresses.

  5. Step 5
     

    Pick up a Real Estate Resource guide, located at various business establishments. You can usually find them at the entrance of grocery stores, waiting areas in doctor's offices, tanning salons, hotel lobbies, and hair styling salons.

  6. Step 6
     

    Contact your local Chamber of Commerce. You will find them to be very helpful and offer various resources to meet your needs.

  7. Step 7
     

    Network and ask friends and family if they know of a good Real Estate Agent that they would recommend.
