If pink is your favorite color than make it the theme for your wedding. Set the tone for the wedding early by using invitations with pink in them. Find pink flowers to decorate the church and reception and serve pink drinks such as pink champagne or wine. Incorporate major and minor touches of pink in every stage of the wedding to set a consistent theme.

Make Your Wedding Pretty in Pink

  1. Step 1

Use pink roses or daisies for the centerpieces. Also, pick a cake that is decorated with pink flowers or another design featuring pink. You may want to have a table serving pink cupcakes for the children at the reception.

  2. Step 2

Dress the flower girl in a pink dress. Have her carry pink and white flowers. Write her a thank you note for the participation in your wedding on pink paper and tuck it in the front of a photo album for her to use for wedding pictures.

  3. Step 3

Use a large swath of pale pink silk or linen to drape as a background for impromptu wedding pictures of the guests with digital cameras. Have another area set up with a white background with a large pink heart in the middle of the fabric. This will look sweet behind photos of couples.

  4. Step 4

Serve pink drinks like strawberry daiquiris, pink wine, or pink champagne. Serve non-alcoholic drinks in pink too, such as pink lemonade or sparkling water topped with raspberries. Use glasses with pink designs such as hearts or the word love imprinted on them.

  5. Step 5

Add an exotic touch to the reception by shining pink patterns of light on the dance floor. You may choose to use one consistent pattern or change the patterns every hour.

Tips & Warnings
  • Start your search for pink wedding invitations early and give yourself plenty of time to plan the reception.
  • Search thrift shops and flea markets to find vintage glassware in pink to use at a table at the reception where treats or fruit will be served.
  • Stick to your wedding budget.
