How to Customize Your MySpace Page

Your MySpace page is all about you. On MySpace you can do everything from voice your opinion, share your favorite music, post pictures of yourself, blog or even do some networking by promoting your business. Express some of your favorite things on MySpace by customizing your page to include a specific theme, music and personal photos that reflect your personality and what you would like your MySpace friends to know about you. Read on to learn more about how to customize your MySpace page.

Things You'll Need:

  • MySpace account
  • Camera

    Adding a Theme to Your MySpace Page

  1. Step 1

    Go to the MySpace Master website choose a theme for your MySpace page.

  2. Step 2

    Under the theme description is a box that has the HTML code for creating the MySpace theme.

  3. Step 3

    Highlight and copy the HTML code by using your mouse to right click inside of the box and then push down the control button and the "C" button simultaneously.

  4. Step 4

    Go to MySpace and sign in to your account.

  5. Step 5

    Proceed to the dashboard of your MySpace page and click on "Edit Profile."

  6. Step 6

    Find the "About Me" section.

  7. Step 7

    At the top of the "About Me" section, place your cursor at the beginning of the codes already in place and hit enter twice to create a double space to separate the HTML codes.

  8. Step 8

    Proceed to right click and release or press the control button and "'V" at the same time to paste the HTML code.

  9. Step 9

    Save all of your changes.

  10. Adding a Photo to Your MySpace Page

  11. Step 1

    Take pictures of yourself or your friends with your digital camera.

  12. Step 2

    Upload the photos to your computer and save.

  13. Step 3

    Log into your MySpace account.

  14. Step 4

    From your MySpace dashboard, click on the "Add/Edit Photos" section.

  15. Step 5

    Click on "Add photos" and follow the prompts to upload your photos to your computer.

  16. Step 6

    Choose your favorite photo to be your profile photo. To do this select "Add as Default."

  17. Step 7

    Save all changes.

  18. Adding Music to Your MySpace Page

  19. Step 1

    From your MySpace dashboard, select "Edit Profile."

  20. Step 2

    From "Edit Profile" select song and video.

  21. Step 3

    Locate the search bar from the top of the page, type in one of your favorite music artists and select the pull-down to search for music.

  22. Step 4

    Select a song from the profiles of one of the music artists.

  23. Step 5

    You will be directed back to your MySpace music dashboard and prompted to add a song to your profile, select "Yes."

  24. Step 6

    Save all changes.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you do not feel comfortable placing your photo on your MySpace page, take a random photo of one of your favorite things such as your pet or even an outdoor landmark.
  • Your MySpace dashboard is the page you see after you log on to your account. From here you can make several changes to your MySpace page.
  • Once saved, you can still make changes if you are not happy with your photos, music or theme. Simply repeat the process and save all changes.
  • Try to match up your profile song with your theme for an added uniqueness.
  • Be sure to save all changes after you implement new codes or photos to your MySpace page.
  • Make sure to double space every time you make changes to any section in your MySpace Page.
