Adding borders to photos makes them stand out more. They also are easy to do and take no time to add to the photos. Finding the right border is the only thing that takes time. So, have fun and add a border to your photos.
Open Microsoft Digital Image Software. Before adding borders to photos, click on the Microsoft Digital Image Software Program. This will probably be found on your computer desktop or in a designated folder on your desktop. With the program open, a start up window will appear. There will be four options for you to choose from to open photos. They are the open file folder, import pictures, digital image library, edit multiple pictures, and create a project. Any of these options will allow you to bring up photos and add a border around them.
Click on effects. Now, search for effects on the first toolbar at the top of the software program. Once effects is clicked on, a drop down window will open up. This is where you will click on edges. Under edges are the six styles of borders that can be used for placing around any and all photos.
Add highlighted edges. Under highlighted borders, you can add five types of border styles to your photos. With the highlighted border, it can be changed to any color to match the photo. It is up to you how the border will look or what color will be used around your photo.
Add designer edges. When using a designer edge, you have the option of using artistic, with text or without text around your photos. In this photo, this is one of the many ten styles of borders that can be used under artistic. Again, the colors can be changed to any color that fits or suits your photo.
Add soft edges. Another style of border that can be added to your photos is called soft edges. This border allows photos to look smoky. The soft edges border allows a photo to look lighter and can only be used one way. The numbers for letting your photo go from darker to lighter begin at one and end at 100.
Add art stroke edges. This is another border that can be added easily to any photo. This is called the art stoke and it comes in over 20 styles. You can choose whichever colors you want for the border. This art stroke edge can also be fine-tuned from 1 to 100. This style border can also be seen in front or behind a photo.
Add photo edges. When using photo edges for your border, there are over thirty styles of borders that can be applied to your photos. Photo edge borders can be fine-tuned from a 1 to 100. The border can also be placed in front or behind your photo.
Add borders. When adding borders, these would be the old fashioned borders probably found in a word processing software or print shop software. If deciding to use any of these borders, you can choose from business borders to sewing and crafts. Among these borders are 10 to 12 ways a border can be applied to each photo.
