Mexican Trains is a fun game of strategy and luck played with dominoes. It's a great group game for all ages and is easy to learn. Mexican Trains is about making a train out of dominoes that connect based on the number of dots on each end of the domino.

Go online and go to your favorite gaming websites. Look for the game Mexican Trains. If it's there then great, sign into your account and we'll begin in a moment. If not then look for a site that does have the game. There are tons out there and if you don't feel like searching just click the link at the bottom of the page to go to Gamesville. Sign up for an account and register, it's free to join. Then click the Mexican Trains link.

Press the start game button. Not all sites have this but most have something similar. You will be dealt 12 to 14 dominoes, depending on the site. Look at your dominoes. They are divided into two halves. On each half of the domino there are dots. These are colored in a variety of colors. Some dominoes have more dots than others. They range from a blank (no dots) to 12 dots. Some dominoes have the same number of dots on both sides. These are called doubles.

Search for the first double. You start with double 12s, the next round double 11s, the next double 10s and so on. If you have the double 12s place them out in the center of the game where there is a small train "station" where the trains all begin. Then look at the rest of your dominoes.

Find the dominoes that have 12 dots on one side. You might have several, you may only have one and you might not have any. If you don't have any, then draw a domino from the extras pile. If you have on place it in your train station, the 12 side away from you. If you have several then look at all your options. Figure out which one you can make the longest train out of based on connecting like domino halves. Place that domino in your station.

Play continues in a clockwise manner. When it is your turn again place the next domino in your strategic train on your train. Continue to add tiles until you can no longer do so. If you can't play your current dominoes you must draw one from the extras pile. If after pulling it you are able to play it go ahead. If you have doubles then place the doubles sideways then place the corresponding connector as you would normally.

Start a community train that everyone can play on by placing the starting number in the train station. If you can't play during your turn on your train or the community train then you will then have a train on your train as well. This means everyone else can play on your train until you are able to do so again. Try to get rid of all your dominoes first!
