Things You'll Need:

    How to Combat Cellulite.

  1. Step 1

Improve circulation. Use skin brushing, exfoliation, and exercise. Skin brushing and exfoliation increase blood flow and improve lymph flow, which helps in the battle against cellulite.

  2. Step 2

Drink more water. It seems like every health tip these days tells us to drink more water, but it is probably the single most important thing you can do for better health next to exercise. Drinking more water actually helps to reduce water retention and eliminate toxins.

  3. Step 3

Reduce salt. Poor circulation can slow down the cleansing process and lead to the accumulation of waste materials that thicken and harden fat. Salt and other chemically food additives can restrict circulation and cause hardening of fat.

  4. Step 4

Exercise. Okay -- you saw that one coming. Exercise improves circulation and eliminates toxins. It also improves muscle tone and reduces the appearance of existing cellulite.

  5. Step 5

Massage. You can fight cellulite by massaging problem areas one or twice a day. Massage improves circulation and lymph flow. Apply a moisturizing cream or oil to the area to be massaged. Allow your hands to gently glide over the skin. Massage firmly but not so hard that you hurt or bruise yourself, work the area in long, sweeping strokes towards your heart. You can use a hand-held massager to avoid friction that can lead to broke thread veins.

  6. Step 6

Take supplements. You can improve circulation and detoxify your system by taking natural diet supplements.

  7. Step 7

Treat yourself. If you have the resources and access, you may want to consider trying some salon treatments such seaweed wraps and mud packs.
