How to Roll a Cigarette Easily
-
1
Purchase the rolling papers and tobacco. Virtually any store that sells pre-made cigarettes will also sell loose tobacco and rolling papers. Start with the mildest tobacco they sell, because the cigarettes you will be rolling will have no filters. Also, buy the widest papers they sell. For beginners, the wider the paper, the easier the roll.

Prepare the rolling paper. Take out one rolling paper and fold the bottom third up toward the adhesive strip. The bottom flap should reach about halfway up, leaving a half inch between it and the adhesive strip. Now, fold up the corners of the initial fold on both sides. The rolling paper should resemble a pouch, now.

Add the tobacco. Put a pinch of tobacco in the pouch. Less is always more. Make sure that it is evenly distributed throughout the pouch.

Roll the cigarette. With both thumbs and forefingers, hold the pouch of tobacco and begin gently rocking the tobacco back and forth, to gather it and make it more uniform and compact. Your thumbs should be facing you. Then, once it feels like it has come together, roll the pouch up toward the adhesive strip. The folds you made on the sides will keep the tobacco from spilling out of either end, and the pouch will seal itself off as you roll it up, tightening the cigarette effortlessly. Once you reach the top, lick the adhesive strip, then roll the cigarette into the strip. Hold it closed for a moment while it dries.
