How to Make a Framed Hair Clip Holder

Hair clips and bows don't have to sit in a disorganized pile on your daughter's dresser. With just a few craft items and an old picture frame, you can make a framed hair clip holder that not only organizes your daughter's hair clips but also complements her room decor.

  • Square picture frame
  • Fabric
  • Ribbons
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Ruler
  • Cardboard

  • Spray paint (optional)

      Remove the backing and glass from the picture frame. If you don't like the frame's finish, sand it down, spray paint it outside over a few sheets of newspaper and allow it to completely dry before moving on to the next step.

      Measure the inside of the picture frame then use the measurements to cut out a piece of cardboard.

      Add one inch to all four sides of the square you just measured, then cut the fabric to that size. This will enable you to wrap the fabric around the back of the cardboard for a finished look.

      Place the fabric right-side down on a flat surface then center the cardboard over the wrong side of the fabric. Carefully fold each side over the cardboard and glue in place. Trim any excess fabric at the corners then allow time for the glue to dry.
