How to Make an Anatomically Correct Gingerbread Man

Gingerbread men have always been something fun for the kids to make. However gingerbread men aren’t just for kids anymore. Spice up your gingerbread men by making them anatomically correct. Anatomically correct gingerbread men are almost as fun to eat as they are to make. Everyone will have a chuckle when they get a peek at your adults-only gingerbread men.

Things You'll Need

• Gingerbread cookie mix (plus whatever ingredients are included in the directions)
• Small plastic bag
• White frosting
• Spoon
• Scissors
• Sprinkles

Instructions

1. Mix the gingerbread cookies according to the directions. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

2. 

   Grab a spoonful of cookie dough and roll into a ball. Place on a cookie sheet. This will be the head. Roll another spoonful into a log. Place below the head on the cookie sheet. This will be the body. Roll smaller logs for the legs and arms. Make sure they legs are spread apart enough to fit the gingerbread man’s private parts.

3. 

   Flatten the head and other body parts flat on the cookie sheet.

4. 

   Grab more cookie dough and roll 2 balls. Place these side by side between the gingerbread man’s legs. Flatten just enough that they will stick to the body.

5. 

   Grab more cookie dough and roll into a log. This can be as long as you want, however it should not be longer than the legs. Place between the 2 balls. Flatten just the top only enough that it will stick to the rest of the gingerbread man.

6. 

   Bake as directed. Remove from oven and let cool. Carefully remove your gingerbread man from the pan and put on a plate.

7. 

   Spoon some frosting into the corner of the plastic bag. Squeeze out all of the air and cut the tip off with some scissors.

8. 

   Squeeze the bag gently until the frosting starts coming out. Draw a face for your gingerbread man and outline his body parts. Add frosting in the middle for chest hair and nipples. Don’t forget the hair on his head.

9. 

   Add sprinkles to the frosting. Match the chest hair with the same color of the hair on his head. Use 2 pink colored dots, stars or hearts for the nipples. Decorate the rest of the body any way you wish. You now have an anatomically correct gingerbread man.

Tips & Warnings

• If you make a mistake, use a cotton swab dipped in water to wipe off the frosting.

• Be sure to be generous with his private parts because there is shrinkage when it bakes.
