How to Drive the Ball in Golden Tee Golf
Golden Tee Golf may not be the most realistic video game out there. It is, however, the most well-known and most popular golf simulation ever created. Golden Tee can be a difficult game if you've never played it or any game like it before. Here is how to drive the ball in Golden Tee Golf.

1
Use your palm to strike the trackball when driving the ball in Golden Tee. It is possible to strike the ball with your thumbs. However, hitting the ball with your palm will give the drive much more distance, thus making the next shot(s) much easier. To do this correctly, place your for fingers together and thumb out to the side so that your hand looks like a standard mitten. You can then hit the ball straight forward with your palm or hit it with the portion of your palm that is between your thumb and index finger. Which option you choose will be dependent on which is more comfortable for you while playing Golden Tee.

2
Pull the trackball straight back by using your palm when preparing for a standard drive. Using your thumbs to do this may cause the trackball to inch to the right or left, which will then make the golf ball curve in mid-flight. This will cost the distance on your drive and could cause the ball to go off course and even into a hazard.

3
Follow the arrows on the panel that surround the trackball when attempting to direct your drive. There may come a time when you may need to hook or slice the ball to get around an obstacle or simply give yourself an advantage. The arrows on the panel of the Golden Tee machine will show you which direction you should pull the trackball back and which direction you should strike the trackball depending on your objective during a particular shot.

4
Begin your “swinging motion” by placing your hand slightly above the trackball. Pull your arm straight back until your hand is at or around your waist. Then, move your arm forcefully in the direction of the trackball until your hand strikes it. This should be one, fluid motion so that your drive has the proper distance.
-
5
Hit the trackball with the middle of your palm. Hitting it with either your fingers or the very bottom of your hand could cause you to duff the ball or simply hit a weaker drive. The trackball on Golden Tee is very sensitive so it is important that you hit it just right.

6
Follow through with your swing to give your drive more distance. After you hit the trackball, your hand should go pass the ball with your fingers pointed toward the screen of the Golden Tee machine. Your arm should also be fully extended at the end of your follow through. If it isn't, your drive will probably be shorted than you intended.
