    How To Decorate Popcorn Bags

  1. Step 1

Choose the type of bag that you feel is appropriate for the treat . If the popcorn bags are for a schoolwide fundraiser or gift, the cellophane bags will be a fancy see through enticement. Paper bags are fine for a class food sale or birthday party.

  2. Step 2

Place the bag on the work surface. Use the rubber stamps and markers to decorate the paper bags with ink images, letters or numbers. Children can decorate bags as a birthday party activity. If decorating a cellophane bag place small decorative theme stickers all over the bag. You can place one large title and thank you sticker in the center with tiny stickers on the sides and back. If the bags have been rubber stamped set aside to dry. Stamped images can be colored in with markers.

  3. Step 3

Cut one 6-inch and three 8-inch pieces of curling ribbon for each decorated popcorn bag. Tie a knot in the center of the 6-inch ribbon piece. Gather the three 8-inch pieces of ribbon and pinch the centers between your fingers. Wrap the 6-inch piece around the 8 inch centers and tie them together with it; secure with a knot.

  4. Step 4

Fill the popcorn bag with the prepared treat. Close the bag with a large sticker or staple the bag shut with colored staples.

  5. Step 5

Take the 6-inch tying ribbon and wrap it tightly around the gathered top of the decorated popcorn bag. Tie tightly to close the bag. With scissors gently curl the tails of the curling ribbons.
