Things You'll Need:
- Gel shoe-inserts
-
Step 1
Pants that look well with flats often look like "clam-diggers" when you pair them with stilettos.Wear pants that brush the top of your foot and the bottom of your heel. Stilettos are meant to be seen and will spice up a casual jeans and T-shirt look dramatically, but they should not be the centerpiece of your ensemble. Make sure that your pants are long enough that you do not appear to be wearing clothes that do not fit when you pair them with your shoes.
-
Step 2
Keep skirts loose and flowing. While tight skirts and stilettos are great for a club, there is no way to make this look casual enough for an afternoon at the mall or a simple lunch with friends. Wear "floaty" floral or lacy skirts to evoke thoughts of sunny afternoon fun.
-
Step 3
This floral skirt is a perfect match with a pair of four-inch stiletto heels.Wear skirts that hit just above or just below the knee. Stilettos make your calves look fantastic, so do not cover them up when you sport high heels in a casual setting. Wearing a slightly longer skirt will prevent you from looking overdressed and draw the eye toward your toned calves and shapely ankles.
-
Step 4
If you are going to a go-go bar, then this look is perfect. Otherwise, save it for a really crazy night out.Avoid shorts. Shorts are inherently too casual to pair with stiletto heels. At best the look will appear overdone, and at worst trampy. You can pull it off at a disco club, but it will not work for an afternoon stroll.
-
Step 5
Practice at home. In order to achieve this look, you must be able to walk casually in your stiletto heels. This means no teetering, wobbling or stumbling. Wear your high heels around the house while you cook dinner, do chores or walk the dog until you can more comfortably and confidently over any terrain.
