How to Add Art Media Effects to Images in Paint Shop Pro Photo
As the technology behind computer software continues to get more refined with each passing year, programs such as graphic design programs have become more useful to the end users. While such programs have become far more user-friendly over the past decade, many users still struggle with adding the desired effects to their images.

Open the application. You will need to left-click on the application icon in order to use the program.

Load the image. Load the image you wish to add the desired effects to by scrolling to the “File” tab on the command bar and selecting open; browse to the desired image file and click “Open.”

Add the desired art media effects. To add arte media effects to your image, scroll to the “Effects” tab on the command bar; a submenu will open. Scroll to the “Art Media Effects” and a submenu will open. Select the desired effect from the list. You can choose between black pencil (which will add pencil effects to the image), brush strokes (which will add paint brush strokes to the image), charcoal (which will turn the image into a charcoal drawing), colored chalk (which will add a colored chalk-like effect), colored pencil (which will add a colored pencil effect) and pencil (which will add a pencil effect). Once you choose the desired effect, the effects properties box will open. Select the desired properties and preview the image until you reach the desired level of art media effects.

Save the image. To save the image, scroll to the “File” tab on the command bar and select “Save As.” Save the image in the desired format and location.

Always save a copy of the image so you can go back if needed.
