Things You'll Need:
- Slow cooker
- Chicken breasts
- Beef (roasts or tenderloins)

Place the chicken or beef into a slow cooker with a cup of water or broth. You may add seasonings if desired, such as salt and pepper, or any type of herb.

Set slow cooker to high for 4 hours, or low for 6 hours and wait until meat is tender and ready to be shredded.

Step 3
Shred the meat with two forks, and use remaining broth to moisten the meat until it is served. Shredded chicken or beef is great for pasta dishes, salads, sandwiches or many ethnic dishes, especially Mexican food.
