    • 4

Select the profile where your settings are stored. Unless you have multiple users on one computer, it will usually be 'Default.'

    • 5

Select the location to copy your old history and passwords to by clicking 'Browse.' This will likely be some sort of removable media drive, like a jump drive, portable hard disk or writable DVD that you will use to transfer the data to the new system.

    • 6

Click next - you'll be given the option to password-protect your backup file. On the next screen ('components selection'), make sure 'passwords' and 'history' are checked, then click next again.

    • 7

Once backup is complete, move to the new, destination computer where you've recently installed Firefox. Install MozBackup and plug the media containing your backed-up file into the new system.

    • 8

Close Firefox if running and run Mozbackup on the new system. Select restore profile and Firefox and click next.

    • 9

Select the same profile as before and locate the backup file by hitting 'Browse.'

    • 10

Click Next, and make sure history and passwords are selected on the next screen, then click next again and you'll be able to start browsing like old times right away!
