Instructions

    • 1

Take the ribbon and make a bow. To do this easily you can wrap the ribbon around the four fingers of your hand about 6 or 8 times. Slip the ribbon off your fingers and twist once in the middle of the ribbon. Wrap the wire from one of the wire picks around that middle spot. The ribbon should resemble the figure 8. Once it's secure with the wire you can proceed to separate the loops at each end till you have a bow. The wire in the middle will help you shape the bow to how you want it. You now have a bow that has a wooden pick attached to the middle.

Cut a few 3 inch lengths of floral tape and set aside.

    • 3

Gather your 3 fern leaves and trim the stems to about 2 inches. Repeat with the rose and baby's breath stems.

    • 4

Hold the fern leaves in a spread out fashion in your hand and add the roses and baby's breath, so that you're holding a little bouquet. Arrange the leaves and flowers until you're satisfied with the way it all looks. Wrap a piece of the floral tape around the stems tightly. The tape will stick to itself as you wrap.

    • 5

Put the ribbon on top and wrap another length of floral tape around the wooden pick and the stems of the flowers. Now that it's secured you can make some final adjustments if needed by re-situating the flowers. Place the pin in the wrapped stems and you're finished.

Tips & Warnings

  • All of the materials needed can be found at any full service craft store or florist shop.

  • You can also use silk sweetheart roses for a corsage that will last forever as a keepsake.

  • Don't be afraid to cut the stems too short. If you do, just attach another florist pick with the wire and it will act as an extension of the stem.

  • If you use silk flowers, you can purchase a can of rose fragrance and spray the corsage. No one will know the difference.
