Step 1
Choose the yarn you want to work with and needles that match the weight of your yarn (see yarn packaging for needle size suggestions).

Cast on your stitches in multiples of 8 plus 1 in your preferred method of casting on. For example, 8 times 4 equals 32, then add 1 to the result to come up with 33 stitches.
