Whether with a wink or a smile, you must use a little body language when trying to pick up a potential date. Follow these tips on using body language and score your next night out--with a girl or guy of your choice!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A little confidence

    Wink Wink

  1. Step 1

Posture is important. When in a bar or local gathering place, be sure to stand tall. Posture is the first thing that sets you apart in a room full of slouching or uptight individuals. Stand straight, take a deep breath and when you exhale, allow your shoulders to relax.

  2. Step 2

Use your eyes. Eyes that lock are eyes that get stuck! If you have down a good, flirty wink, you may wink; however, if it looks unnatural, stick to the "smiling eyes" tactic.

  3. Step 3

Show some teeth. After standing tall and locking eyes, be sure to smile--a teeth-flashing smile! A bonus would be to raise an eyebrow after showing your shiners--this is the universal sign that lets the other person know you're interested.

  4. Step 4

Show some tongue. Whether taking a sip of a drink or licking your lips, allow your tongue to wet your lips. This is sexy!

  5. Step 5

Move closer. This the final step, usuing body language, that lets him/her know that you're interested. Once you get closer, you'll be able to tell if the flirty body language is reciprocal. From there, you'll have to come up with your own pick up line!

Tips & Warnings
  • Stand in small groups of two to four. Big groups make you look unapproachable.
  • It is best to practice these body language techniques while sober!
