How to Paint a Deer Blind
Deer blinds are structures built by hunters in the forest. From these blinds, deer hunters can hunt without being detected by the deer which increases the chance of a successful hunt. These small buildings can vary in complexity and size, but all serve the same purpose. While deer blinds can significantly reduce the chance of being detected by a deer, it does not eliminate it. Painting a deer blind can add an extra measure of precaution and further reduce the chance of being detected.

1
Select the paint. Keep in mind the deer blind should be painted a color that blends in with the background, which is likely a forest. Choosing a khaki or green color will likely yield the best results. If you wish to paint a pattern onto your deer blind, purchase a few colors to go over a base color. You will need to purchase a greater quantity of the base color than you will of the camouflage colors.

Make sure to select a paint that works well in the outdoors. It may be a little more expensive, but it will spare you repainting the deer blind every season.

3
Paint the base color of your deer blind using a roller. Allow the base coat to dry.

4
Paint a camouflage pattern on the deer blind using the other colors. Camouflage is not an exact pattern, so using irregular brush strokes and patterns will not diminish its effectiveness. In fact, you should keep in mind that a forest is filled with irregular shapes and colors while painting a pattern on the deer blind.

5
Paint the interior of the deer blind black. This step is optional, but will further reduce the chance deer will detect movement within the structure.
