How to Get a Job Doing Data Entry from Home
It can be tough finding a good data-entry job from home, and one thing is for sure: Never pay to find a job. Many places want a small fee, but they do not tell you--until you have paid that fee--that they can't guarantee you a job. This means they either "show" available data-entry jobs or they lead you to many more places that offer these jobs. You basically end up going in circles. But, if you know how to go about finding a data-entry job, landing the right one doesn't have to be impossible.

Look at the more popular web search results. When you search for "data entry from home," you will come up with many results. Only look for one with the keywords you suggested in them. You might find GetaFreelancer, Elance and vWorker, among others, in your search results (see Resources). Many of these sites allow you to "bid" on jobs, which can be great because you get paid only what you are willing to be paid. And you get to do it all from the comfort of your own home, if you choose.
-
2
Join popular forums for data-entry jobs from home. Forums are an excellent place to learn about new and popular existing data-entry jobs that you can do from home. You can also find out about any "scamming" jobs that are out there so you can avoid them.

-
3
Consider starting your own data-entry business. By having your own home data-entry business, you can market and advertise your service and start getting clients at your own rates. This method involves much more work.
-
4
Have an up-to-date resume and some sample work ready. With data entry, this can be a bit trickier, but it never hurts to have something you have recently done to show your potential employer.

Tips & Warnings
Do not give up. You won't necessarily find a job and automatically get it. You must be patient and allow time to find something.
