How to Make a Wine Cork Wreath

If you love to drink wine, or know several other wine afficionados, then this easy craft idea could be one for you. By saving your wine corks, you will have the basis for making beautiful holiday wreaths. These make great decorations as well as gifts. They also help to promote recycling.

Things You'll Need

• Wine corks
• Hay wreath
• Glue gun and glue sticks
• Raffia

Instructions

1. Place glue on the side of a wine cork and stick to the hay wreath. Make sure it is held firm before letting go.

2. Repeat this process until the wreath is completely covered in corks. It should take about 2 hours to cover a wreath that is 12 inches in diameter.

3. Take the raffia and create a bow of your choice.

4. Glue the bow to the top of the wreathe and then allow to dry.

Tips & Warnings

• A wreath of about 12 inches in diameter will require about 120 corks. You can add or subtract based on the size of your hay wreath. You may decide to paint the wreath, however they do look excellent as they are.
