Gone are the days of needing a bulky piece of equipment to send and receive faxes. With an account from eFax you can send and receive faxes using your email address. While there are several different levels of eFax membership, the most popular is the limited or free account.

  • Personal Computer
  • Internet Connection
  • Email Address
  1. Step 1

    Visit the eFax website to learn about the different types of account offered. If you will only send and receive a few faxes each month the limited account is the best deal, however if you will need to send more faxes than a higher "Plus" account may be better suited for your needs.

  2. Step 2

    Determine which account will be best for your needs. Those who would like to try it for a few months should click on the "Limited Account" tab located at the top of the screen.

  3. Step 3

    Complete the required information including phone number, name and email address.

  4. Step 4

    Check your email account for a confirmation email that will provide you with step by step instructions for completing registration.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you listen to talk radio pay attention to the advertisers. Many talk radio hosts advertise this service with a free promotional code that allows members to take a test drive of eFax.
  • Upgrading to another level of account requires a credit card.
  • Depending on your needs you can upgrade your account at anytime to allow for more faxes.
