How to Avoid the Tyrant in Resident Evil

The Resident Evil game series is one of the most popular RPG games of all time. There are many Resident Evil games that require you to defeat a tyrant or a creature named Tyrant. In the first--and possibly one of the hardest--Resident Evil game, there are two instances where you must fight the Tyrant. The first time, the only way to avoid him is by running from him and continually shooting him. You cannot avoid fighting him completely. However, the second time it is possible to avoid him altogether. Here are the steps to show you how this is done.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

1. Pick which character you are going to play with. If you choose Jill, you will have an opportunity to save Barry. If you choose Chris, you'll be able to save Rebecca.
2. Choosing Jill as your character, when you run into Barry and have the opportunity to either give him his gun or let Lisa Trevors kill him, do not give him his gun. This will make things harder for you at first, but will let you avoid fighting the Tyrant before being picked up by the helicopter.
3. Choose Chris as your character when you hear Rebecca's scream. Do not go after her to save her.
4. Go through the game as you normally would. When you have to fight the Tyrant the first time, run from him to avoid being hit with his long arm. Use your magnum to shoot him.
5. When you get to the helicopter landing zone, light the flares and you will then be picked up by the helicopter. You will not have to fight the Tyrant.

Tips & Warnings

• If you want to just avoid getting hit by him in the second battle, keep running around and stay as far away from him as you can. Eventually a rocket launcher gets dropped off to you in order to defeat him.
