1
Wash your hands with soap and water. Your hands should never touch your face, except when they are absolutely clean.
-
2
Wash your face in the morning. A clear complexion starts with clean skin. Don’t use regular soap and water; look for a cleanser that is meant to be used on your face for your type of skin. After washing your face, rinse thoroughly with warm water, follow with cool water.

3
Water alone does not remove all of your cleanser. Swab your face with an astringent or toner, using upward strokes so your skin can best absorb the liquid. If you have combination skin, make sure you only use astringent on your T-zone.
-
4
Place moisturizer on your face, again using upward strokes. Make sure the moisturizer contains an amount of solar protection. If you have oily skin, use an oil-free moisturizer for your skin type.
-
5
If you have pimples or blackheads use a cleansing mask once a week. Don’t ever pick or squeeze blemishes, you will only make them worse.
-
6
During the day if you are going to be outside, reapply sunscreen or sunblock as necessary. Also drink plenty of water to clean your face from the inside-out.
-
7
At night make sure to remove all makeup. Wash your face, use a toner and reapply moisturizer again before you go to bed. Change your pillow case every week to ensure that you are placing your face on a clean surface when you go to sleep.
-
8
Wash your face everyday, both in the morning and at night. Skipping even one day of washing can be a cause for bad skin the next day.
