Are you ready to quit smoking? Or are you wondering if you can? This article will help you learn.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • yourself and a willingness to quit
Step1
Know how much you smoke. Do you smoke a pack a day?
Step2
Lets say you smoke a pack per day. You should take 5 cigarettes out of that pack that first day.Now on day one, you are five cigarettes less.
Step3
So, you do not go through withdraws, just smoke 5 less cigarettes everyday for about a week. After your first week, take out 3 more cigarettes. Smoke three less per day for another week.
Step4
The next week, you should take out 2 cigarettes, and do this for about a week. Now you are down to half a pack! (If you smoke more than a pack a day, make your own quit plan that will work for you).
Step5
Now that you are down to half of what you use to smoke, you should go talk to your doctor about a prescription that can help you through any withdraws you may have.
Step6
Continue to cut down your cigarettes until you are no longer smoking. You may need something for the hand and mouth habit as well, and I am sure you do not want too much food. You should occupy your hands as much as you can, try gardening, cleaning around your house, and just stay active. If you stay active, it means you are going to crave less.
Step7
When you quit, take the money that you use to use for a pack a day, and put it away. Do this for a while, until you have enough to reward yourself with something special.
