Carpets with heavy traffic can start to retain odors. Rather than using harsh chemicals that are hard on the environment and the health of your family, try using Baking Soda. Baking Soda kills odors better than regular carpet fresheners and doesn't leave cloying chemical scents.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1
    Arm&Hammer
    Arm&Hammer

Sprinkle Baking Soda all over the area you want to deodorize.

  2. Step 2

Leave the Baking Soda for at least 1 hour. I like to leave it for several hours if I have the time.

  3. Step 3

Vacuum the area thoroughly. Your carpet should be fresh and odor free without the use of any chemicals. Reapeat once a month for maintenance
