Whether you are writing an essay for school or writing to the local paper this article will provide a simple format to follow.

Things You'll Need:

  • Topic
  • Pencil
  • Paper
  • Dictionary
  • Time
  1. Step 1

    The very first thing you will need to do is, choose a topic. The best topics are ones you have Had experience with. something you can explain in detail. If you have a topic picked for you , then you may need to do a little research to write effective essay.

  2. Step 2

    The first paragraph of your essay should restate the topic and give three main points.

  3. Step 3

    Now that you have a topic and you have written the Introduction with three main points . The next step is to write the body. The body will give details about the three main points .A Paragraph for each point made should be sufficient.

  4. Step 4

    The last paragraph should be a summery of the entire essay.

  5. Step 5

    Here is a example of a topic.
    Who is the most important person in your life?
    In your essay explain who they are and why they are important to you.

  6. Step 6

    Remember the parts of an essay Introduction, Body, and a conclusion.
