Things You’ll Need:
- Home business.
- Desire to get insurance for home business.
Step1
An absolute must make sure you are getting the best quote for your current home or renter's insurance. If you have a car if you do not already have the policies at the same place now may be a good time to look into it. The best place to make sure your insurance is currently competitive is by getting a free quote through Insurance websites that give free quotes. You may want to go to a few to get a good idea.
Step2
Contact the insurance company that holds the your home owners or renter's insurance. If they bid on the websites are lower, talk to your current rep about the difference. Sometimes a Insurance Representative can make all the difference. Talk to them about what type of business you want to start up or the business you already run. (Hint: It may be cheaper if you have not let customers in your home yet)
Step3
If you are still not satisfied with the quotes given contact your local local Chamber of Commerce to see if they have special rates through a company.

on 7/12/2008 #2 is an excellent point. A good insurance agent should be willing to talk to you about your needs and find the best coverage. Insist on it.
