Things You'll Need:
- 1 1/2 Cup white sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla
- 2 Cups fruit cocktail with juice.
- 2 Teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 Teaspoon baking powder.
- 2 Cups flour
- 3/4 Teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 Cup brown sugar
- 1 Cup chopped pecans

Step 1
In blender add fruit cocktail and blend until it is the consistency of apple sauce.

In large mixing bowl add sugar ,eggs and fruit cocktail and mix.

Add dry ingredients. Baking soda,flour,cinnomon,nutmeg and baking powder. Mix well.

Spray a 9x13 inch pan with baking spray (pam) then pour cake batter into pan. Mix brown sugar and chopped pecans together pour over cake batter.Place on middle shelf in oven. Bake at 325 F. for 40 to 45 minutes.

Recipe for topping.1/2 Cup butter flavored shortening. 1 Cup brown sugar. 1/2 Cup canned evaporated milk. 1 Cup coconut.
Mix ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil at medium heat stirring constantly. When cake is done let cake stand on a wire rack 5 minutes. Pour sauce over cake when still warm.
