Get Smoke Smell from Clothing
Get Smoke Smell from Clothing

Removing the smoke smell from clothing seems a daunting task to any who had tried. Even sending your clothing to a professional cleaners rarely takes out the smell. The answer is to seek out Grandma, who has had the answer for years.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cider Vinegar
  • Small Bowl
  • Closet
  1. Step 1

Place the pieces of smoke filled clothing into a small closet with a very limited number of items. It would be preferable, but not necessary, to have everything else removed from the closet.

  2. Step 2

Hang the smoke-filled items in the closet with about 2 inches of space between each hanging item.

  3. Step 3

Fill a small bowl with white or cedar vinegar. Place it on the floor of the closet. Wait several hours before opening the closet.

In the event that all of the smoke smell is not gone, try again with a towel rolled up at the base of the closet door.
