How to make a memorable craft for your loved one who has served years for the U. S.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • scissors
  • colored construction paper
  • glue
  • glitter
  • felt pens, colored pencils, etc.
  • a photo of your loved one
  • any other decorative materials

Step1
Get a picture of your relative and cut neatly around the center to make a circle or a square.
Step2
Cut a red, white, or blue piece of construction paper into a star. (I reccommend tracing first just to be on the safe side.)
Step3
Glue the photo directly in the center and add a border for a nice neat touch.
Step4
Neatly, write a short note about the person, their years served, rest in peace, or even a short poem, anything nice and memorable.
Step5
Let your child decorate the rest of the star however they want. You might use stickers, glitter glue, or ever punch-out tools, anything the veteran will appreciate.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure not to get too messy or too sloppy with your card or it won't turn out durable/keepable.
  • Lamination would make a nice touch for a memory that would last a while.
