Cholesterol levels are a concern for many people in the United States and can correlate to heart disease. Cholesterol lowering medications can have toxic side effects and many natural cures work better than medication.

  1. Step 1

    To lower your bad cholesterol and increase your good cholesterol levels, all you have to do is add more good foods into your diet, and that will help you to automatically decrease the foods and factors that aren't supporting your health.

    First, make sure your doctor has checked your thyroid levels. A low thyroid function is often related to your cholesterol being high.

    Talk to your doctor about incorporating niacin in the form of inositol hexaniacinate.

    Incorporate more garlic into you diet, minimum of 4,000 mcg of allicin. Talk to your doctor if you're on blood thinning medication or other medications.
